Online Educational Help

 COVID-19 causes school closures

If you are homeschooling/remotely/digitally educating your child(ren), if you need assistance with understanding something that has been assigned for your child(ren), or if you need more resources, just give us a shout.

Paras Wellbeing are working with teachers to offer free online help sessions.  We currently can offer help in Science but our team will be happy to answer questions on other subjects to the best of our ability.

Services we can offer include:

  • Timetable preparation

  • Topic discussions

  • Resources

  • 1 : 1 online sessions

Together we can make a difference, to sign up to become an online teacher or to receive online sessions please email paraswellbeing@gmail.com stating your subject of expertise (teacher) or subject and any particular topics (student) .

We're all in it together ❤️

I am a fully-qualified science teacher with a specialism in biology. I gained a first class BSc in Biomedical Science from Warwick University and then achieved my PGCE at Oxford University. I have been teaching biology in secondary schools for four years, with experience of examination boards AQA and Edexcel GCSE Combined Science. I have also completed a masters-level course on working with children with literacy difficulties from Oxford Brookes University. The teaching and learning tools I use are based on methods to memorise key concepts and developing examination technique. I have two years experience of teaching AQA A Level Psychology (New Specification, from 2015) and I have taught Edexcel Salters-Nuffield Biology A Level for four years.
I have taught students who have achieved a grade 9 in AQA Biology (Triple) and I have taught students who have achieved A grades in A Level Biology.

Offering: Mental health, Psycho-physiology, Science (Biology), Creative Writing, Academic Writing, Assessment/ Dissertation planning and proof reading

Completed a PhD in Psycho-physiology focusing on the interaction between the brain and the heart and how this can impact mental health and wellbeing. I currently work in the Mental health services in the NHS where we are implementing a person-centred model, an approach that seeks to understand the individual and their experiences and how this can impact them.

I believe using this model in teaching will help me understand you and help me select the best teaching methods allowing you to learn, understand and flourish. Using a variety of teaching methods can help stimulate different mechanisms allowing you to grasp complex processes. Creating the right teaching environment and working at your pace will put you at ease and help you develop learning effectively.
